Chandelier size guide
Use dimensions as a first filter, then verify the exact fixture against the room and installation conditions.
Over a dining table
A common starting point is a chandelier width around one-half to two-thirds of the table width. This is a visual proportion guideline rather than an installation rule.
Linear fixtures
For long tables and islands, compare both fixture length and depth. Leave enough visual breathing room at the ends rather than matching the full furniture length.
Vertical fixtures
For foyers and stairwells, total drop matters as much as diameter. Check the lowest point from all nearby walking paths and landings.
Before ordering
Confirm ceiling height, fixture dimensions, weight, junction-box capacity, electrical requirements, and access for installation.
