Crystal vs. glass chandeliers
Both can create a high-impact fixture, but they produce different texture, sparkle, and visual weight.
Crystal
Faceted crystal is chosen for refraction and sparkle. Dense crystal compositions can also add considerable physical weight, especially on large foyer fixtures.
Glass
Glass may appear clearer, thicker, softer, or more sculptural depending on the shape and finish. It is often used where the form of each element matters as much as reflected light.
Care
Both materials show dust and fingerprints. Follow the fixture manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and avoid aggressive chemicals on metal finishes or decorative surfaces.
